The company history dates back to the late 1890s, when a stand-alone bridges shop at the Petrovskyi plant was created. Later on, in 1930, it was transformed into the full-fledged steelwork plant to be named after I.V. Babushkin.

 The core activity is manufacturing of bridge steelworks and heavy industrial constructions, including those applied in metallurgical, chemical, security and mining sectors. The installed production capacity reaches 95 thousand tons. Main types of products are as follows: • steel structures for metallurgy; • constructions for bridges, including road and rail bridge spans, trestles and galleries, bridge cranes; • frames of various buildings, including those for metallurgical heating furnaces, converter shops, continuous steel casting facilities; • tanks (tubs, cisterns, vats, reservoirs) with capacity of 50-75’000 m3 under the by-sheet technology; • constructions of walking excavators; • truck-mounted crane jibs; • H-shaped beams of all sizes; • steel barrier-type guards; • individually ordered constructions. All the products of OJSC “Dniepropetrovsk Steelwork Plant named after I. V. Babushkin” are certified under the UKRCEPRO quality standards.
